Probate Paperwork

Probate Document Preparation

Administrative document preparation for self-represented Californians who have chosen to handle probate paperwork without an attorney.

Help with the paperwork, at your direction

After the death of a loved one, probate paperwork can feel especially burdensome. If you are self-represented and have already determined the documents you want prepared, I can prepare those documents from the information and instructions you provide.

Probate can involve complicated legal questions about estates, heirs, creditors, property, deadlines, and court authority. I cannot advise you how the law applies, determine who is entitled to property, or tell you what procedure to use. An attorney should be consulted whenever legal advice is needed.

For appropriate self-help matters, I can assist with document preparation, organization, and filing logistics at your direction.

Document preparation may include

  • Probate petition document preparation at your direction
  • Notice and administrative document preparation at your direction
  • Inventory or related court-document formatting from information you provide
  • Filing and e-filing assistance
  • Document organization
